Privacy — the launch list
This page collects one thing: an email address you type into the form, and the moment you ticked the box to say we may use it.
What we keep
- The address as you typed it, and a lower-cased copy used to recognise it again.
- The date and time you gave consent, and the date and time you confirmed the address.
- Scrambled (hashed) versions of the links in your emails, so the links work without us storing anything that could be reused.
- A scrambled trace of where the request came from, used only to stop a script filling the form thousands of times. It is not readable back to an address or a person.
What we do with it
- Send you one email asking you to confirm the address.
- Send you one email when the shop opens.
That is the whole list. This is not a newsletter sign-up, and joining it does not add you to any other list. We do not sell or share the address.
Leaving
Every email we send carries an opt-out link, and it works before you confirm as well as after. You can also write to [email protected] and ask us to remove you. We keep a record that an address opted out, so that it is not added again by mistake.
